Bank Kuku x Nigeria Pavilion
With love from Nigeria to the world — a celebration of colour, culture and design. Designed by Banke Kuku for The Nigeria Pavilion, these postcards draw inspiration from Igbo heritage, reimagining tradition through bold traditional Isiagu design over the brands's contemporary monogram pattern. These postcards carry a piece of Nigeria’s story — a tactile reminder of how culture travels, connects and can continue to inspire across borders.

Echoes of Heritage: Translating Igbo Culture Through Design
Banke Kuku is a Nigerian-born textile designer and creative director, celebrated for her bold, luxurious prints that blend West African heritage with contemporary design sensibilities.
In response to the Nigeria Pavilion's exploration of design and identity from a south eastern lens, Banke Kuku partnered with Culture Lab and designed a set of postcard inspired by Igbo culture, drawing on its deep symbolism, craftsmanship and aesthetic language. Known for her signature use of bold patterns and textiles, Kuku reinterpreted traditional Igbo visual motifs through a modern, design-led lens, creating a beautiful postcard that bridges cultural heritage and contemporary expression.
This collaboration explored how design can serve as a medium of cultural storytelling—translating ancestral forms and philosophies into new visual narratives. The postcard embodies Culture Lab’s ethos: merging heritage, design and emerging technology to reimagine how culture is preserved, presented and experienced today.
